Google CodeF is an exclusive career event for female computer scientists, taking place at the Google office in Munich on November 30, 2012.

Google CodeF is exclusively for female computer scientists from Germany or Switzerland who have not graduated yet. You do not necessarily need to be studying computer science, it could be a related degree in mathematics, science or technology. You must have coding skills in at least one of: C++, Java, Python or depth of knowledge in either networking technologies or Linux/Unix.

Students who attend the Google CodeF career event will:
  • Learn about Google's products and services, test them out and find out how they work
  • Work on a technical programming challenge with Google engineers
  • Meet experienced Google engineers
  • Get the chance to 'Grill a Googler' and ask lots of candid questions to engineers, product specialists and other fascinating Googlers
  • Be considered for the innovative CodeF mentoring programme

Selected students will be invited onto the Google CodeF mentoring programme which will last 12 weeks. The mentoring programme will consist of 8 mentoring meetings to be held virtually and in Google's Munich office.

Successful applicants will each be assigned a fantastic Google engineer as a mentor who will offer guidance on:
  • improving technical skills
  • solving tasks related to studies
  • confidence building
  • career planning
  • developing personal and professional skills
  • personal technical project coaching
Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
